Proposing Censorship in 2010. Good Luck With That
This blogger appears to be applauding the efforts of politician, David Cameron, who has publicly criticised Lily Allen’s music. He claims that it is inappropriate for his daughter, that is David’s decision. He is entitled to his opinion and to ultimately decide what is suitable for his daughter. He does not, however, have the right to decide what is suitable for the public and neither does the blogger from the Telegraph. It is not expected for any type of music to appeal to all members of society, this would be impossible. People have been developing their own tastes and opinions since the beginning of time, to use Lily’s music as a political statement is a low and probably detrimental move. I would not respect a politician purely based on his taste in music, but i do not respect a politician who publicly singles out one musician for being, in his opinion, inappropriate.
